I'm making another attempt at starting a blog. I read other folks' blogs and wish I would take the time to put fingers to keyboard and log some thoughts as well, but like may other things in my life, I tend to not have the stick-to-it-ness to keep it up.
So here I go again. The last time I posted to my previous blog, my best buddy Spencer was 5 1/2 months old - now he's nearly 4. Another cardi has joined the family, the beautiful, sweet Scout, now 2 1/2. I was just thinking this morning that Spencer must have been pretty bored around here before Scout came to live with us. Here's a pic of them at daycare doing the cardi dance.
My old Elliott cat crossed the bridge during the meantime as well, but my sadie, sadie old lady cat Cosette is still going strong at 18.
I'm still in the same house, although I live in it differently than I used to. The living room has become my the room where I actually spend the most time. The downstairs den is basically the storage room I walk thru on the way to the laundry room. My housekeeping skills are worse than ever, which are compounded by the fact that there is twice as much dog hair as there used to be.
Still at the same company, although I have taken on more responsibility along with a promotion. I am very happily settled in there - I an in my 13th year and I can't imagine working anywhere else. I like taking on new projects and opportunities, but I must admit my ambitions have changed - I am happy to be at this level for the foreseeable future.
On May 19, 2007 I suffered a freak back injury. I had surgery in June, but looks like I will always be affected by cauda equina syndrome, something I had not even heard of before I was afflicted by it. I appear to be one of the lucky ones as my symptoms are much milder than many, but it's still tough to accept that I will never the same as I was before.
OK - I've caught up since the last post. Let's see where I go from here.
