The Welsh Hairless is home

In Atlanta a couple of weeks ago, I posted that Scout had started blowing coat. I left her with Cheryl, and they went to a couple of shows. Every day Cheryl posted me on how much more hair had come out. One day, after the judge examined her on the table, Cheryl said the inside of his coat sleeves were white from her shedding hair.

I picked her up today and was amazed (appalled!) at how nekkid she is. She looks so tiny without her full coat. The thing with red dogs is how much their color changes when they are out of coat - Scout goes from a rich red to apricot.

Her tail and pants are in ok shape, so this week she will get lots of cold baths, daily treatment with Cheryl's secret hair growing potion (she won't tell me whats in it, but it's blue and in an olive jar, which I have to keep in the refrigerator), and I stopped at the veggie stand today and bought sweet potatoes, carrots and beets to add to her food.

Are you using a supplement such as In Flight or Missing Link? Both help coat come back in, and then hold coat.

Inca sheds from mohagony to peach, and she sheds huge amounts of hair. I take out basketball-sized rolls each time I groom her during er shedding period.

Blue?? What the heck would make it blue? LOL

I don't want to hear about your hairless girl. Want to talk about MY hairless girl? ;)

Dare we hope that the push to grow coat is because we will be seeing you at the Chesapeake specialty?

Yes - as a matter of fact, Scout gave me a card to send to her sister today saying she would see her in October.

I see you stuck your toe into blogging. Get posting!

Oh, but she's looking pretty and sweet even with no coat!

As a reply to your random reply - we would have fun as college roommates! I'm not sure about the governor thing, though - I might have to work on my "win friends and influence people" skills...

Yay! We'll have a family reunion in October. Now, the more important question - are you coming with Scout to VA? I'm sure she'll look awesome, no matter how much coat she is carrying.
