I have been looking for a something to do with the stack of show ribbons we have accumulated over the years. I have seen quilts and tote bags made with them, but nothing inspired me until I was perusing fellow cardi-lover Alicia Paulson's (of the
Posie Gets Cozy blog) book,
Stitched in Time. (She dedicated the book to her sweet Audrey who died while she was writing the book, and also includes pictures of her girl, Clover Meadow.)
Her "Farmboy Photo Frame" caught my eye. The original was made with strips of cotton fabric, just about the size of ribbons.
All of these are Scout's ribbons - and I am especially proud of the green ones - where she has Q'd in Rally, Agility and Herding. I am looking forward to adding more green ribbons to our stash and more titles to the end of her name!

Ya know, I'm betting if you offered this type of thing for sale, you could make a bundle! It's adorable!
I have Galaxy, and Traums 1st show ribbons, waiting for me to hang with a picture of them at that age, or show on the wall. Each of them happened to win their class, 1st time I took each into the ring, so while they both ended up flopping as show quality, those two ribbons each mean the world to me :)
That is the most awesome thing I have ever seen and I would be first in line with all of Casper's rally ribbons if you ever decided to offer your services!
Mark says he has enough reserve ribbons from Pearl to make a quilt...
That's a great idea. I have a box of ribbons from the dogs -- still doesn't answer the question "What do we do with rosettes?" Any good ideas?

I have a stack of ribbons I had planned on doing something with some day... Karen Harbert made hers into placemats, which I thought was kinda cool too. I like your frame tho :) Very nicely done!

Super, super awesome! I am always at a loss when it comes to the flats, those vests and such that people make are kind of....gaudy. This is beautiful!

I love it!! I always threatened to start papering my bathroom with the flat ribbons- this is so much nicer!!
Seriously- I wanted to make a quilt at one point- but never had the time/energy to get it done- and never could figure out how to fuse the ribbons to fabric!
Maybe when I retire???
