My mom had a stroke during the night. She has impairment on the left side but can talk and knows what's going on. I knew she was still there when I got to the hospital and she looked at me and said, "I can't believe John McCain picked that woman for vice president."

I happen to agree with her ;) I was *shocked* to wake up to that. Completely SHOCKED. (And I'm not even a 'political person' either ;)
