Sunday night

Doc said CT scan showed no bleeding from the scan they took when they first took her in. I left around lunch time and left the brother and sis in law in charge. Mom was in good spirits, ate some and was engaging in conversation. I talked to Jimmy this evening and apparently things were on an even keel the rest of the day.

I had a good cry on the way home (Mom is in Athens, about 50 miles from my house). I am not sure what the future holds, but I know that my life will not be what I have become accustomed to for the foreseeable (or should that be the unforeseeable) future. When I got back into town, I called the friend who was keeping the dogs for me, but she was going to be away from the house for a couple more hours.

I ran by Hancocks and bought the Cinderella dress pattern (will I have time to even tackle that before Halloween?) When I got home, I just collapsed on the couch and fell asleep. The phone woke me up - Nancy was bringing my dogs back to me.

I've had a double dose of corgi therapy this evening. We've snuggled, frapped and shared a bowl of popcorn. Just what the doctor ordered.

I am glad to hear that your Mom has stabilized. I am in the same phase with my Mom. I know how emotional and difficult this can be. My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you and your family. Corgi kisses are such a great way to boost spirits. :o)

Nothing heals like Cardigan kisses and snuggles. I am so glad to hear your Mom is doing better. Take each day as it comes, life has a way to leveling out. Remember you do not have to do it alone. Your friends are only a call or text away.
