Liz, Come Get Your Dog

I was piddling around the house this morning, and I heard a strange sound. My first thought: Do I have rats?

No, I have Nick. But only for a couple more days.

Yes - he was eating my house.  And when I scooped him up and put him back in his pen, he peed in the frisbee.  I think he was trying to make a point.

Uh oh. I guess I owe you some siding now? Or at least a good bottle of wine?

Awww! But, he's so cute! We had a Golden Retriever many years ago who ate a corner off our house! As high as she could reach lying down, gnawed away until we realized what she was doing and installed a metal flashing-sort-of- thing.

The only one I am mad at is myself. And my house painter. He was supposed to come back and put a baseboard there because there was already a problem. And - last night Nick had a little help with it from his sister - but I completely forgot about it when I sent them out there this morning without supervision. Nobody's fault but mine.

Hmm. Would I prefer that Miss G gnaw on my technological devices or my house? :) As much as she loves wood, I expect that the siding will have an attraction this summer when she is outside more unsupervised. Liz, I think you might have your hands full! As cute as he is, he needs to have a busy brain!

I know it doesn't help but I can sympathize! The Bear has chewed my brand new food dish, the rubber flooring under his play pen and a cell phone charger. He also chews my neck, by tail and anything else he can get his little teeth into. Person comment: How soon they forget! I remember a computer mouse, etc.

Oh the trouble puppies can get into! Wilson and Jimmy were both wonderful pups who did very little damage, but my first boy Dylan had a list a mile long and costing into the thousands in damage! But he grew up into the Best Dog Ever, so he was so worth it!

Sam will take credit for the angry peeing in the frisbee but not for eating the house. He would like you all to know that he has never eaten anything inappropriate.
